چکیده

The concept of inductive database proposed by Mannila is a beautiful formalization of the interactive mining process In the concrete setting of association rule mining an inductive database provides virtual tables containing vir tually all itemsets and rules over the data The user does not care how these inductive tables are implemented for him mining is nothing but querying these tables For example in a market basket application suppose we want all rules with a certain con dence and support as usual having banana in the head but corn akes not in the body This would be expressed by the following data mining query

Applying a decision support system for accident analysis by using data mining approach: A case study on one of the Iranian manufactures

Uncertain and stochastic states have been always taken into consideration in the fields of risk management and accident, like other fields of industrial engineering, and have made decision making difficult and complicated for managers in corrective action selection and control measure approach. In this research, huge data sets of the accidents of a manufacturing and industrial unit have been st...

A posteriori versus a priori access strategies in slotted all-optical WDM rings

The paper presents the concept of ``a posteriori'' access strategy, as opposed to the previously studied concept of ``a priori'' strategy, to provide a fair and ecient access technique in slotted wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) rings under a large variety of trac patterns. Using a posteriori strategies, the source node selects the packet for transmission based on the state of the WDM c...

A posteriori Disclosure Risk Measure for Tabular Data Based on Conditional Entropy∗

Statistical database protection, also known as Statistical Disclosure Control (SDC), is a part of information security which tries to prevent published statistical information (tables, individual records) from disclosing the contribution of specific respondents. This paper deals with the assessment of the disclosure risk associated to the release of tabular data. So-called sensitivity rules are...

Nonlinear AVO inversion using geostatistical a priori information

We present a Monte Carlo based strategy for non-linear inversion of seismic amplitude versus offset data. The problem is formulated in a Bayesian framework such that the solution to inverse problem is an a posteriori probability density. A priori information about the problem is defined as a Gaussian probability density. The problem is conditioned by observations of reflected P-waveforms. A non...
